Our prices include the cost of groceries and vary depending on your needs.
Contact us and we will get you some sample menus.
Service
Provided on a weekly basis and although
we may freeze a meal so you can eat it later in the week, we prefer
fresh meals and believe you do too!
Packaging Options
You can have your meals packaged in two different ways, Individually or Family style. For example you can either have entire lasagna in one baking dish to put in the oven, or the lasagna cut up individually, to reheat in the microwave.
Smaller Mouths (5 and Under)
We have little ones too! We know they don't eat full adult portions,
sometimes they don't even eat adult food. So we will work with you to
customize the menu.
Containers
There is a first time container fee of $25. This will cover all the
containers needed to package meals. Containers will include Ziploc
bags, plastic storage containers, Pyrex baking dishes, along with Ikea
and/or microwavable dishes. I will accommodate if there is a specific
kind of container you'd like me to use. Container fee will be collected
on the first service visit and again after every 4-6 months of service,
or replenished as needed. Fees may be higher or more frequent if
clients request different containers.
THE INFO AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE
Hey, what are you doing way down here - you have dinner to cook. Still don't believe it takes almost 12 hours of your time to cook 5 dinners a week. Well lets run some numbers.
First you got to plan the 5 meals - lets say it only takes you an hour to figure out the menu for 5 dinners. (think an hour is too much time, then lets face it either your family is eating the same stuff every week or you are a culinary maven like Chef Dave)
Then you have to grocery shop - lets make it easy, just an hour to get in your car, drive there, get in, by 5 days worth of groceries, pay, load, unload, put it all away in the cupboard, pantry, fridge, freezer - yep only a hour.
Now the daily grind - its dinner time, drop everything, get out the menu, wash, prep, chop, cut, slice, grate, grind..alright you are ready to cook, now sautee, fry (yes, fry...a little isnt that bad), braise, bake, grill - do whatever it takes to cook the meat, veggies and side dishes for that one meal. Ok - lets say it takes only an hour (yeah I know it probably takes more but lets keep it easy).
Oops..what is this mess in your kitchen, all these pots, pans, knives, spoons, bake on mess..you try scrubbing and rubbing (you get the picture..you just cooked a meal in 1 hour...there are going to be some dirty dishes to clean). Lets say it takes you an hour to clean the kitchen.
So here we go -
Once a week plan and grocery shop - 2 hours
Everyday prep, cook and clean - 2 hours (but you have to do this Monday thru Friday so it actually a total of 10 hours)
Grand Total - 12 hours.
So if you make lets say $25 an hour at your day job, that 12 hours is worth $300 to you.
What you still here? Don't you have a dinner to cook?
Ok, seriously this really is a great deal, you get restaurant quality meals with fresh ingredients and no kitchen cleanup. Yes, the price per person is what you would pay in a restaurant but you didn't have to pick a place, drive there, wait to be seated, wait for your food, tip the server, pay a mark up for adult beverages, drive back and then stare at those stryofoam take home boxes every time you open your fridge for the rest of the week.
