Our own original take on cole slaw, tangy and sweet. Feel free to use an AleSmith infused mustard or any mustard you think will well in this dish. Serves 6 to 8 people.
Ingredients
1 Cup Store Bought Creamy Cole Slaw Dressing
½ Cup Dr Pepper
2 T Mustard
1/2 head green cabbage, thinly sliced
1/2 head red cabbage, thinly sliced
1 carrot, thinly sliced
(or substitute 1 Bag pre-chopped Cole Slaw Mix for the three ingredients above)
Kosher salt
Ground Pepper
Directions
Using a wire whisk, mix the dressing, Dr Pepper and Mustard in a large bowl until combined (about a minute).
Add the cole slaw ingredients and gently toss to coat. Cover tightly and place it in the refrigerator until ready to serve (can be made 5 hours ahead to this point).
When ready to serve, remove the cover, stir gently and taste. Add salt and pepper until you can taste that balance of sweet and tangy.
